Cooper

BreedAmerican Staffordshire Terrier / Labrador RetrieverSexMaleSizeMediumAgeSenior

Meet Cooper Cooper is a stunning, approximately 63-pound boy with soft gray fur, adorable white markings, and the cutest little underbite. Pictures truly do not do this handsome guy justice. Cooper is looking for a committed forever home where he can be the center of attention as the only pet. He has so much love to give and will thrive with someone who understands his needs and is willing to continue helping him succeed. Cooper is a smart, fun-loving dog who already knows: • Sit • Stay • Recall • Leave it • Lay down He enjoys both adventure and downtime. One minute he’s zooming around the yard chasing tennis balls — his absolute favorite thing — and the next he’s perfectly content relaxing on his bed with a bone or a peanut butter-filled KONG. Cooper would do best with an experienced handler who can continue working on his leash skills and manners. He is strong, energetic, and intelligent, and he thrives with structure, consistency, and ongoing training. He previously lived with older children and did very well with them. Cooper is affectionate, loyal, and deeply bonds with his people. Because of challenges living with another dog in his previous home, Cooper needs to be the only pet in the household. He is not a candidate for dog parks or doggy daycare, but he absolutely does not need other animals to be happy — he simply wants his people. A securely fenced yard is very important for Cooper so he can safely run, play fetch, and burn off energy. Cooper has already had training and a loving home before, and now he’s waiting for the right person to give him the second chance he deserves. For someone looking for a smart, handsome, loyal companion, Cooper could truly be the pawfect match. The adoption fee is $400, which covers food, vetting, microchip and the spay/neuter surgery performed by a rescue-affiliated vet. All dogs receive a wellness visit and are up to date on shots appropriate for age. Breed and size is Pawfect Match Rescue's best guess and not guaranteed.
