The senior dog memorial wall

The memorial wall is a quiet corner of Lily's Second Chance for the dogs who are gone: dogs adopted from a shelter late in life, dogs who lived a whole life with one family, and dogs a rescue cared for at the end. Anyone can add a tribute, and it costs nothing.

A tribute is a name, a photo if you have one, and whatever you want to say. Each tribute is read by a person before it is published, which keeps the wall free of spam and lets us fix a typo or a rotated photo before it goes up. Tributes stay up for as long as the site exists unless the person who wrote one asks for it to come down.

People often arrive here after losing a dog and leave wanting to help another one. The senior dog list is a click away, and fostering, which gives an older dog a home while a rescue finds their adopter, is something many partner organizations need more than anything.
