Meet Batman Male DOB: December 16, 2017 Weight: 75 lbs Breed: Kelpie / Shepherd Mix Neutered (Fixed) Vaccinated Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Batman is a striking, adventurous boy with a loyal heart and a love for the outdoors. At his age, he’s confident, experienced, and knows how to be a true companion. He’s not just a dog—he’s a partner for someone who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a devoted, intelligent dog by their side. Personality Batman is energetic, affectionate, and deeply loyal. He thrives on connection and forms strong bonds with his people. He enjoys being active, exploring, and staying engaged, but he also has a loving side and values time spent close with his family. He’s the kind of dog who will stand by you, both on adventures and at home. Training & Program Batman is currently enrolled in the Paws to Prison Program at Corcoran Prison, where he is receiving structured, hands-on training from inmate handlers using positive reinforcement. He is actively learning and improving skills such as: Sit Come Crate training This program is helping him build structure, confidence, and the foundation to become a respectful and well-mannered family companion. Breed Info As a Kelpie / Shepherd mix, Batman combines: The Kelpie’s drive, intelligence, and love for activity The Shepherd’s loyalty, awareness, and strong bond with their people This creates a dog who is smart, active, and deeply devoted, thriving in homes that provide both physical activity and mental engagement. Ideal Home Batman would do best in an active home that enjoys the outdoors. He will thrive with someone who can provide regular exercise, structure, and companionship. Owner Responsibilities Batman will need consistent exercise, continued training, and routine. Like all dogs, he requires guidance, care, and a lifelong commitment. Things to Consider Batman can be sensitive to loud noises such as fireworks. A calm, secure environment during these times will help him feel safe and supported. The 3-3-3 Rule 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With patience and consistency, Batman will be an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. Veterinary Care Batman is fully vetted, but we always recommend bringing him to your own veterinarian after adoption to continue his care. Important Note Batman is an indoor family dog. He is not to be chained or left outside.
