Rayna

BreedAmerican BulldogSexFemaleSizeLargeAge8 Years 7 Months

RAYNA (watch my video!) Female, spayed 8 years old Pit Bull Terrier 80 lbs. Microchipped, up-to-date on core vaccines and takes monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention Good with sheep (yes, you read that right!), curious about chickens, not tested with cats or kids, dog selective with proper intros Meet Rayna – Proof That Second Chances Matter. Rayna has been through more in her 8 years than any dog ever should… but you’d never know it today. When LOVEPAWS rescued her, it was clear life hadn’t been kind. Likely used for breeding for years, she arrived with painful skin issues, ear infections, broken teeth, and lumps in all the wrong places. She wasn’t just uncomfortable, she was miserable. But Rayna is a fighter- boxing gloves on (yes, literally, we have the photo), she showed up ready for this fight. With incredible veterinary care, all concerning masses were either benign or removed with clean margins, and she finally got the dental care she deserved. While she’ll stay on medication to manage her allergies (pretty common for her breed), she is now absolutely thriving. These days, Rayna spends her time living the good life with her foster family- going on walks, chewing her favorite toys, and supervising every household task (yes… even bathroom breaks). She LOVES: Couch snuggles Veggies (will do anything for a good crunch) Basketball (Professional athlete in her mind, goofball at heart) Her signature move? A bouncy excited hop. Rayna is smart, too! She knows sit, down, and waits patiently for her meals. She is crate trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and takes treats gently. As a senior, she appreciates frequent potty breaks, but otherwise she’s an easy, go-with-the-flow kind of girl. Don’t let her age fool you, she still enjoys a good game of tug. Rayna is a retired momma dog- she’s had plenty of puppies in her personal space and enough chaos for one lifetime. That chapter is closed. A calm home with older kids would be her dream. She bonds deeply and loves hard- the kind of dog who will happily take over your heart (and your spot on the couch). After everything she’s been through, she just wants to be safe, loved, and part of the family. She’s fought hard for her second chance… now she just needs someone to choose her. (And ideally someone willing to support her basketball career ) Interested in adopting? Of course you are! Submit an application here!
