Maxwell
Meet Maxwell!Maxwell is a senior male Rottweiler with a gentle heart and a calm, affectionate nature. He is a people-loving boy who enjoys attention, companionship, and simply being near his person. Sweet and steady, Maxwell has a soft presence that makes him an easy dog to have around. He is both crate trained and potty trained, and he knows basic obedience commands. Maxwell also walks well on leash using a training collar, showing that he is responsive and eager to engage with his handler. He is very smart and continues to benefit from structure and consistent guidance, as ongoing training is always recommended for all of our dogs.Maxwell does appear to have a high prey drive, so he will need a home without small animals. At this time, we are still evaluating his compatibility with other dogs, so slow, thoughtful introductions would be necessary if there are other canine companions in the home.Maxwell is a truly affectionate boy who bonds quickly with his people and thrives in a calm, structured environment where he can feel secure and included. He has a lot of love to give and is ready for a home that will continue supporting him as he settles into his next chapter.Adoption Process:If you are interested in adopting one of our fun-loving, "not-so-rotten" Rotties, you will be asked to fill out our adoption application which allows us to get to know you better. This ensures the dog you are interested in is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our Adoption Application by visiting our website at www.rottenrottie.com (http://www.rottenrottie.com/), clicking on Adopt a Rottweiler Adoption Application, and submitting the form online. After reviewing your answers, if we feel the dog you are interested in is not a match for your family, we may recommend a different Rottweiler companion. Once we determine which dog is best for you, we will schedule a meeting at their current home, where they feel most comfortable and act naturally. We require a home check to ensure each dog is going to a safe environment. To finalize the process, an adoption contract must be signed. We also require a rehoming fee, which is typically $500 for most adults and $350 for seniors (6 years and older) or Rottweiler mixes of any age (excluding puppies). Fees for puppies fluctuate depending on the investment required for the litter and whether they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary for our organization to continue rehoming Rottweilers in need. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and have tested negative for heartworms. Each dog comes with a collar and a leash. We also address any injuries or illnesses they had upon arrival or developed in foster care; any such conditions will be fully disclosed to the adopter prior to the adoption. Please Note: In almost all cases, we do not adopt to out-of-state applicants. On rare occasions, if we feel it is a PERFECT match for both you and the dog, we may make an exception for our neighbors in Las Vegas. If you live in Las Vegas and would like to be considered, please fill out our adoption application.
