Livi Lulu

BreedTerrierSexFemaleSizeMediumAgeAdult

Whether good or bad, there’s a reason for every happening that often turns into a blessing for someone somewhere. In Livi’s case, the death of her owner, and the inability of the family to keep her, led her to being left at one of our vet offices. The staff, realizing what a wonderful little dog she was, contacted us asking if we could take her in and find a home for her. She’s in a foster home now and this painfully shy little wonder is slowly blossoming into a sweet, affectionate, playful dog. She’s a lovely Yorkie mix, with a soft blue-black coat mixed with fawn and silver highlights and deep, dark eyes with adorable eyelashes. She loves to have her belly scratched, and it feels just like velvet – oh, so hard to resist! She sleeps on the couch for now but, given time, I think she would like a nice soft dog bed in the bedroom with her human. Livi is initially shy and will need time to adjust to her new home and people. She does well with other dogs, does not seem interested in cats, and seldom barks (for now). She knows doggie doors and takes herself in and out. Although she may not do well around children or lots of visitors because she is so shy, she is just a total love bug with lots of kisses to share and is looking for a quiet home. Livi LuLu is 7 years old and weighs 22 pounds. Livi has been diagnosed with a thyroid issue and is on an inexpensive thyroid medicine and will need to remain on it for the rest of her life.
