Bruce Barrow is a 6-year-old, 11.5 pound, small mixed breed (maybe Min Pin - Chihuahua - terrier?) whose soft spirit makes him impossible not to love. He came to AAU rescue a bit underweight, and should fill out to around 14 pounds with steady meals and kindness. Shy at first meeting, Bruce is the kind of dog who watches the world carefully before deciding it’s safe. Give him a little time, and his whole demeanor transforms. Once he trusts you, he becomes sweet, gentle, and oh-so-affectionate. Pick him up, and he just melts right into your arms like he’s been waiting his whole life for a person to hold him close. Bruce Barrow would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands the magic of slow introductions and soft encouragement. He doesn’t need loud or busy - he just needs someone who will let him blossom at his own pace.
