Milo
Meet Milo! Milo is a young pup, estimated to be between 6 months and 1 year old, likely a mix of Jack Russell Terrier and Blue Heeler traits. He is intelligent, energetic, and highly motivated to learn, especially when given structure and consistency. He picks up training quickly and thrives in environments that offer mental stimulation, clear boundaries, and positive engagement. Milo enjoys interactive play, chew toys, and enrichment activities, especially anything that challenges him mentally or keeps him engaged. Milo does have a prey drive, but he is responsive and redirectable with consistent handling. He currently lives in a foster home with guinea pigs and has shown no issues in that environment when properly managed and supervised. He has also interacted well with cats and has made feline friends, though continued supervision and slow introductions are always recommended. Milo can be unsure of new people and new environments at first. He may bark when something feels unfamiliar, but he settles with time, patience, and calm introductions. He tends to be observant and sensitive to energy, so he does best with people who are calm, confident, and consistent in their handling. With children, Milo has not been consistently tested enough to be fully predictable in all situations, so a home with older, dog-savvy kids or a structured introduction process would be best. He is very social with other dogs and enjoys both play and companionship. He also forms strong bonds with his people and is affectionate and cuddly once his energy needs are met. Milo does experience car sickness, but he is gradually becoming more comfortable with car rides as he gains experience and confidence. He is potty trained, curious, and steadily improving every day. He has already made great progress in foster care and continues to show strong potential to grow into a well-rounded companion in the right home. Milo will do best with a family who understands active, intelligent working type dogs and can offer patience, structure, exercise, and enrichment. In return, he offers loyalty, intelligence, and a lot of personality. Super cool pup. Deserving of so much love.
