Max and Sophie

BreedBichon FriseAgeSenior

Meet Max and Sophie. They are a bonded pair of Bichon Frise mixes that are 11 years old. They are litter mates that have been together their entire lives. Max and Sophie have just lost the only home they have known when their owner moved into a nursing home. This sweet duo are looking for a loving person who will adopt them together. They keep each other company, so they are easier than having only one dog!Max weighs 9.6 pounds and is in good health. Sophie weighs 9.2 pounds and is also in good health except she is partially blind due to cataracts. (She can see light and dark, just no detail). Both are neutered and UTD on their vaccines. They are scheduled for a dental cleaning on June 9 which will be covered by the rescue. These two are sweet and friendly as can be. They cuddle together like two peas in a pod when they sleep at night. They love to go on walks! Sophie charges ahead on her lead, she doesn't seem bothered at all by her limited sight! Once she learns where everything is in her home, she will maneuver around just fine. They both LOVE being outside in their foster's fenced yard....so many things to smell and the sunshine feels great! Max is the more outgoing of the pair, but once Sophie gets to know you, she will demand to be cuddled!! Both are snuggle bugs that want to be with their person. They are very friendly pups.FOSTER UPDATE: After 2 weeks with us, Sophie has graduated with honors in house training!! Max still occasionally wants to lift a leg in the house so he gets a B-. Both of them have made huge gains in this important area. We are very proud of them!! Foster update #2: Max is officially house trained too!! They are so friendly and such "easy keepers"!!Can you provide a loving home for Max and Sophie? Fill out an application and let's get the ball rolling!***Max and Sophie are eligible for our Senior to Senior adoption program. If the adopter is over 60 and uses our vet, the rescue will cover their vet bills. You provide the home, food, toys and LOVE. Frankies Furry Friends will pay their vet bills. This special program is a WIN-WIN for everyone.Adoption Fee to defray vet costs: $100
