Meet Brie Brie is a petite Toy Fox Terrier mix with a striking black-and-white piebald coat that’s short, soft, and barely sheds. At just 5 pounds, she’s small enough to fit in your lap — which is exactly where she wants to be. She is genuinely one of the sweetest dogs you’ll meet. Calm, affectionate, and not much of a barker, Brie is the kind of dog who quietly becomes the center of your world. She loves people, gravitates toward any available lap, and is happiest when she’s close to her person. Don’t let her size fool you — she’s also a capable adventure buddy. She can walk miles at a brisk pace without complaint, loves rides in her doggie backpack, and is a full passenger princess in the car, happy to hang out in her car seat while you run errands or take her somewhere new. That said, she doesn’t need hours of exercise every day. At 8, she’s mature enough to be equally happy with a daily walk and a quiet evening on the couch. She fits into an active life and a restful one. What she’s great at: Cuddling and staying close — she’s a natural velcro dog Learning fast — she picks up on a home’s rhythms quickly and responds well to praise and food rewards Keeping the peace — she’s not reactive, has good manners around food, and is happy to meet other dogs A note on other dogs: Brie enjoys canine company but will need managed introductions given her size. She’s not the problem — the world is just a lot bigger than she is. What to know before you apply: At 8 years old, Brie is healthy across the board — good joints, heart and eyes, and up to date on her dental care. Her one ongoing management item is excitement or anxiety-induced urinary dribbling — when she gets really happy or nervous, she may leak a little. This is a physiological response, not a house training issue, and it’s unlikely to fully resolve. She wears a diaper most of the time to manage it, and it’s a simple, low-effort workaround. She’s also still solidifying her house training, so her adopter should be prepared to continue that work with patience and consistency. She has some separation anxiety and is okay alone for short periods but will do best when she’s not left alone for long stretches. Brie is best suited for a home: Without small children — at 5 pounds, she’s easily injured and needs an environment where her size is respected Where someone is home enough to keep her company With an adopter who is comfortable with the diaper routine and committed to finishing her house training In the right home, Brie will be endlessly loyal, easy to love, and impossible to imagine life without. Interested in Brie? Fill out an application at EAPL.com to schedule a meeting — she's ready to find her people. Her adoption fee is $375
