Aussie

BreedAustralian ShepherdSexMaleAgeAdult

Aussie is a sweet senior who just wants to be by your side all the time. He has become our new front office companion, helping us greet all our visitors, and he is happy to do it! He has a sensitive stomach, so he is on a special diet. For snacks, we stick to healthy options like baby carrots, apple slices, and bananas. He loves his healthy snacks, along with a Milk-Bone here and there. Whenever he finds a nice patch of grass, he just HAS to roll around on his back while he groans away, letting us know how happy he is. We all just want to see Aussie get spoiled and loved in his new home the same way he is here! Please come give this sweet boy a chance at a forever home. We promise he will melt your heart! APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: 51 lbs. ESTIMATED DOB: 5/2/2018 GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS: unknown GOOD WITH KIDS: yes GOOD WITH CATS: no REQUIRES A FENCE: no ACTIVITY LEVEL: low LIKES TO VOCALIZE: some SPECIAL NEEDS: no BREED EXPERIENCE NEEDED: no APPROPRIATE PLACEMENT FOR 1ST TIME DOG OWNER? yes FREE OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS OFFERED WITH ALL DOG ADOPTIONS Please note that we are often asked if dogs are "house trained". The dogs are in fact living in a kennel environment during their time with us. Even if they have previously lived in a home and been trained - the stress of the change and the new home can sometimes cause regression and require some additional training. We feel that it's best for all adopters to be prepared for this possibility.
