With her long, graceful build, plush black and tan coat, and perfectly perky ears, she’s a dream come true for any shepherd lover. Yara has been waiting at the shelter for two months and urgently needs someone to take a chance on her and give her the life she deserves. She has a beautifully balanced energy level - calm and gentle, yet still playful and happy to romp around with other dogs. Due to her size and enthusiasm, she’d do best in an adults-only home, where she can move freely without worry of knocking over little ones. Loyal, independent, and deeply affectionate, Yara is ready to be your devoted companion - she just needs someone to see her worth before it’s too late. Will that be you? -7 year old black and tan German Shepherd mix -70 pound spayed female -may need the standard round of shots and preventatives before she can go home with you, but the shelter can likely help with this! -came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 4/6/26 as a stray -best suited for an adults only home due to her size and energy level -sweet and soulful, independent, loyal, and affectionate -great on leash, potty trained, sociable with both people and other pups, and knows basic commands like sit and give paw - so extra training should be a breeze!
