GERALD

BreedRottweilerSexMaleSizeLargeAgeSenior

Meet Gerald – His story began with heartbreak, but we're hoping it ends with the loving family he has always deserved. This sweet boy was found abandoned alongside his two canine siblings. All three dogs were underweight when they arrived at the shelter, making it clear they hadn't had the care they needed for quite some time. Despite everything he's been through, Gerald has remained incredibly kind, gentle, and trusting.Because Gerald came to us as a stray, we don't know much about his life before arriving at the shelter. What we do know is that he previously lived with other dogs and has shown appropriate, relaxed behavior around them while in our care. Gerald is calm, and has an easygoing personality. He enjoys being close to his people and welcomes gentle affection, especially from those who let him approach at his own pace. His sweet nature shines through in every interaction, and he has handled shelter life with remarkable resilience. Now that he's gaining weight and receiving the love and care he deserves, Gerald is ready for the next chapter of his life—a home where he'll never have to wonder where his next meal is coming from or whether he'll be left behind again. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a heart full of love, Gerald may be the perfect match. He deserves a family that will show him what forever truly means. If you are interested in meeting Gerald, please visit the shelter during open adoption hours:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 10 AM–12:30 PM & 2 PM–4 PMThursday: 10 AM–12:30 PM & 2 PM–6:30 PMSaturday: 9 AM–1 PMIf you do not own your home, please bring written consent from the property owner allowing a dog on the property.
