Meet Sweet Max Max was rescued from the streets of Miami after being abandoned when his family moved away. Despite everything he’s been through, Max’s spirit shines. We believe he is a German Shepherd/Belgian Malinois mix, and he truly embodies love, loyalty, curiosity, and resilience. For the past month, Max has been working with a foster on training and has been responding really well, showing how eager he is to learn and please. Max is now looking for a foster or forever home where he can continue to thrive. He would do best in a household that offers structure, ongoing training, and regular activity to match his medium energy level. He enjoys long walks, playtime, and learning new things—but he’s just as happy relaxing and cuddling with his people at the end of the day. Because of his breed mix and size, Max will do best with a confident handler who can provide strong leadership while he continues improving his leash skills and manners. Max at a glance: Age: Approximately 6–7 years Medical: Fully vetted, neutered, and microchipped. Recently treated for seborrhea, likely due to improper past care and nutrition. Energy Level: Medium – enjoys walks and playtime but also loves to relax and cuddle. Cats: Not good with outdoor cats; indoor cats unknown and would require careful introduction. Dogs: Can do well with confident/alpha dogs. May try to dominate very submissive dogs, so slow and mindful introductions are recommended. Kids: Unknown; a home with adult children or adults only would be best. Max has already overcome so much and deserves a home where he will be loved, guided, and given the stability he’s been missing. With the right person or family, he will make an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. ❤️ Could you be the one to give Max the second chance he deserves
