BENTLEY
City of Houston, Bureau of Animal Regulation and Care • Houston, TX
Frankie is a gentle, handsome boy with a pretty incredible story of survival. He spent over a year living on the streets (on Frank Street, to be exact!), but now he’s learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and part of a home. He’s a submissive, easygoing guy who LOVES a good belly rub. One of his favorite things is also being around other dogs. He really thrives with doggy companionship and often follows his foster siblings’ leads around the house – he gives them lots of kisses to say thank you too. Despite what he’s been through, Frankie is wonderfully well-mannered. He’s potty trained and happily free roams inside during the day, then sleeps quietly in his kennel at night. Frankie has been with his foster for about a month now and has really opened up and made himself comfortable. He is a quick learner and already knows his newly given name. He can be shy and nervous when meeting new people, but he is always very gentle and polite (even with children!). Once he is comfortable in a new setting, he is all tail wags and smiles! Frankie is about 50 lbs but totally content being picked up too. We know he is at least a year and a half old, but we think he is still pretty young. He walks very well on the leash and is a neighborhood favorite on strolls. He has not directly been around cats that we know of, but he has done well seeing them in passing. If you’re looking for a kind, loyal guy who’s ready for his well-earned happy ending, Frankie would love to meet you (maybe shyly at first)!
