Meet Sophie. ❤️ I went to DeKalb County Animal Shelter to meet another dog, but then I saw Sophie’s name on the high-risk board. I don’t know how to explain it other than this: I looked at her and knew I couldn’t leave her there. I couldn’t let her life end in a shelter when she still had so much love left to give. And wow… she is the sweetest girl. Sophie loves to cuddle. She is potty trained. She walks almost perfectly on a leash. She loves rolling in the grass like she’s been waiting her whole life for a soft, safe place to land. And when she curls up next to us, it feels like she already knows she’s home. She is gentle, loving, grateful, and perfect in all the ways that matter. Sophie is part of our family now, and we love her so much already. ❤️ Senior dogs are not “too late.” Sometimes they are exactly on time. Welcome home, Sophie. 🐾
