Meet Molly

Meet Molly! This beautiful 7-year-old Pit Bull mix is looking for a family to call her own. Molly is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all of her vaccinesshe's ready to start her next chapter! Molly is incredibly sweet, playful, and full of personality. She's a curious, nosy girl who wants to be part of everything you're doing, and her favorite place is right by her people. She loves attention, enjoys having fun, and is always happy to make new friends. When Molly first came into our care, she was severely emaciated. Thanks to lots of love and care, she's been steadily gaining weight and is feeling better every day. Now she just needs a forever family to continue helping her thrive. She is treat motivated, walks nicely on a leash, and would benefit from some basic training to help her learn boundaries and polish her manners. Molly is eager to please, making training a fun bonding experience. Molly previously lived with both male and female dogs, so we feel she has the potential to do well with another dog. A dog meet-and-greet will be required to ensure everyone is a good match. We are unsure how she does with cats, so slow, patient introductions would be best. She does well with kids and would make a wonderful family companion. If you're looking for a loving, loyal girl who has overcome so much and is ready to fill your home with love, laughter, and plenty of happy tail wags, Molly is waiting to meet you! Adopting Molly — FAQ

How do I adopt Molly?

Use the adoption link or contact details on this page to apply directly with Humane Society of Warren County in Front Royal, Virginia. Lily's Second Chance lists Molly to help them get seen — the adoption is handled by that organization.

Is Molly still available for adoption?

Molly's listing is refreshed regularly, but availability can change quickly as dogs are adopted. Always confirm Molly is still available directly with Humane Society of Warren County before making plans.

Is Molly a senior dog?

Yes. Every dog listed on Lily's Second Chance, including Molly, is a senior — generally age 7 or older. Senior dogs are often already house-trained and calm, and they wait the longest for a home.

Can I foster Molly instead of adopting?

Some shelters and rescues offer a foster-to-adopt path — you foster first, then complete the adoption if the match feels right. Check Molly's profile for the organization's contact details and ask them directly whether a fostering option is available.

What should I expect in the first weeks after adopting Molly?

Senior dogs typically have a brief adjustment period of a few days to a couple of weeks as they settle into a new home. They may be quiet or shy at first, then relax once they feel safe. A calm routine, a comfortable place to sleep, and patience usually make the transition smooth. Most senior dogs settle in faster than puppies because they are already past the demanding early stage.

Is Molly good with children or other pets?

Compatibility depends on the individual dog's history and personality more than age or breed alone. Humane Society of Warren County can tell you about Molly's known behavior around children, cats, and other dogs. Many organizations offer a meet-and-greet before finalizing an adoption to make sure the match is right for everyone.
