Meet ROBIN

Please note this dog is NOT an official Underdog dog, and you will be connected with the person who has the dog. Please Contact (Current Owner of Dog): Naimi Bashar; 602-284-2488; [email protected] MEET ROBIN!! Robin is an 8-year-old Golden Retriever/Labrador mix with a heart as golden as his coat. Loved by the same family since he was just 3 months old, Robin is a loyal, affectionate companion who thrives on being part of the family. He is leash trained, rides wonderfully in the car, loves to play fetch, and never says no to a toy—especially a squeaky one, though his ultimate goal is to eventually de-squeak every single one! Calm and easygoing around the house, Robin is content to relax with his people but also enjoys a good daily run to stretch his legs and burn off energy. He adores long hugs, loves being included in family activities, and has the sweetest nighttime routine—he insists on being tucked into bed with his blanket before settling in for the night. Robin is intelligent, obedient, playful, and even-tempered, making him a wonderful companion for adults and children alike. He gets along well with other dogs but would do best in a home without cats. If you're looking for a loving, devoted best friend who will happily join you on adventures and then cuddle up by your side at the end of the day, Robin is ready to fill that role with his whole heart. Adopting ROBIN — FAQ

How do I adopt ROBIN?

Use the adoption link or contact details on this page to apply directly with Underdog Rescue of Arizona, LLC in Chandler, Arizona. Lily's Second Chance lists ROBIN to help them get seen — the adoption is handled by that organization.

Is ROBIN still available for adoption?

ROBIN's listing is refreshed regularly, but availability can change quickly as dogs are adopted. Always confirm ROBIN is still available directly with Underdog Rescue of Arizona, LLC before making plans.

Is ROBIN a senior dog?

Yes. Every dog listed on Lily's Second Chance, including ROBIN, is a senior — generally age 7 or older. Senior dogs are often already house-trained and calm, and they wait the longest for a home.

Can I foster ROBIN instead of adopting?

Some shelters and rescues offer a foster-to-adopt path — you foster first, then complete the adoption if the match feels right. Check ROBIN's profile for the organization's contact details and ask them directly whether a fostering option is available.

What should I expect in the first weeks after adopting ROBIN?

Senior dogs typically have a brief adjustment period of a few days to a couple of weeks as they settle into a new home. They may be quiet or shy at first, then relax once they feel safe. A calm routine, a comfortable place to sleep, and patience usually make the transition smooth. Most senior dogs settle in faster than puppies because they are already past the demanding early stage.

Is ROBIN good with children or other pets?

Compatibility depends on the individual dog's history and personality more than age or breed alone. Underdog Rescue of Arizona, LLC can tell you about ROBIN's known behavior around children, cats, and other dogs. Many organizations offer a meet-and-greet before finalizing an adoption to make sure the match is right for everyone.
