August – Gentle, Curious, and Easygoing August is a 7-year-old, 95-pound German Shepherd Dog mix with a gentle, independent personality. He enjoys leisurely exploring with his person and has a sweet side that comes out once he feels comfortable. Leash Manners: August has mild pulling with occasional moderate pulling. He enjoys leading the way while sniffing and exploring on walks. Gentle & Affectionate: August can be a little shy or aloof at first, but he warmly greets people he knows with a gentle, wagging tail. He is receptive to pets and affection once comfortable. Smart & Enrichment-Minded: August shows off his very nice “sit” and enjoys treat-finding games. He may take treats with a hard mouth, especially when excited, so continued work on taking treats gently will be helpful. Calm Around Dogs: August notices and stays alert to dogs walking nearby but remains quiet and non-reactive. August will do best with appropriately matched dogs or as a solo dog with well-matched canine friends.
