Meet Butch, a 10-year-old, 66-pound Shar Pei who looks like he walked straight off the set of The Sandlot! With a head the size of a small planet and a personality to match, this boy is proof that age is just a number! Butch is young at heart and LOVES his squeaky toys. If it squeaks, he wants it. If it doesn't squeak, he'll probably judge you for your poor purchasing decisions. He's currently heartworm positive and receiving (easy one pill) treatment. He's also house-trained and crate-trained, which means he's already got some important life skills down! Now, let's discuss restraint. Butch would like to formally announce that restraint is a violation of his constitutional rights. Nail trims? An act of betrayal. Being held? Absolutely outrageous. Any attempt to limit his freedom will be met with a strongly worded complaint and the facial expression of a man who has just been told the squeaky toys are out of stock. Butch needs a family who understands his boundaries, respects his personal space, and is willing to work patiently with him. He's got opinions, and he's not afraid to share them! Underneath that giant head and grumpy-old-man charm is a boy looking for someone to love him exactly as he is. He doesn't care that he's 10.
