Meet Calhan (Poe)! At 8 years old, this handsome, 88-pound beefy boy is actually a total gentle giant. He's all about taking life at his own pace and enjoys slowly ambling along on his walks, taking his time to explore and enjoy his surroundings. He's easy on the leash and makes a wonderful companion for a leisurely stroll. Calhan (Poe) is spending time in a foster home, and is such a chill houseguest. He is very polite and respectful, and doesn't jump on furniture unless invited. He's great in the car, and is house trained and crate trained. Poe is non reactive to the neighbors and loves to be outside. He maybe pull a little on the leash at first because he's so excited to be out but he settles down quickly. He follows his foster around the house and loves treats! This relaxed gentleman sleeps soundly through the night Calhan (Poe) is affectionate, enjoys pets, and absolutely lights up when you baby talk to him. He's food motivated, but even treats are enjoyed at Poe's preferred pace-he'll take his sweet time chewing and savoring every bite! Calhan (Poe) has met other dogs at the shelter, he does best with polite and gentle friends. With his easygoing demeanor and gentle, affectionate personality, Poe is a lovable senior gentleman looking for someone who appreciates the slower, sweeter things in life.
