Meet Ollie

Meet Ollie! This 8-year-old Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix is the whole package in an 18-lb fluffy frame: a sweet companion who's always up for an adventure and a certified charmer. His signature move? Sitting up and pumping his front paws at you like he's begging. We affectionately call this his “WANT WANT WANT”, and good luck saying no! PersonalityOllie warms up to new people quickly and greets visitors and strangers. He's usually quiet around the house, but he'll let you know with a bark when it's playtime. His perfect day: a few rounds of fetch, a walk around the neighborhood, kicking a soccer ball around, and then settling in for a long belly rub session. Around the HouseOllie is fully house trained with excellent manners - no counter surfing, no accidents, no chewing, no door darting. He knows "sit," "paw," and his famous "dance," and his leash manners are great. He will bark a bit at passing dogs, but he doesn't pull. In the car, he's a dream: he just curls up in the seat and sleeps. Energy LevelLow to medium. Ollie is always ready for a game or a walk, but he's just as happy lounging next to you. His dream home has a fenced yard and someone who'll play soccer and fetch with him — he loves chasing a ball around. That said, a short daily walk and some toy time keep him perfectly content, and he'd do well in an apartment with someone who spends quality time with him. (Fair warning: birds who trespass in his yard will be chased out with a loud warning. He takes this job very seriously.)Gets Along WithDogs: Great — he currently lives happily with other dogsKids: Great — he came from a home with childrenCats: Not a fan — he needs a cat-free homeMedical NeedsOllie takes seizure medication three times a day (every 8 hours) — he's too small for a twice-daily dose. His condition is well managed, but his adopter needs a schedule that can accommodate consistent dosing times. Beyond that, he has no physical limitations: his eyes, ears, and legs all work great, especially when a ball is involved. Ideal HomeOllie is adaptable — he'd thrive in a house with a yard, or would do well in an apartment with regular, consistent walks. He does well with other dogs or as an only pet, and he'd be a wonderful first dog. He needs someone who can commit to his medication schedule, keep the cats away, and appreciate a little guy with a big personality and even bigger paw-pump energy.
