Foster Home Feedback 5/26/26 Foster Feedback: Hazel Lee is incredibly lovable and snuggly. She is very well-mannered and would do so well with more obedience training. She is potty and kennel trained. In fact, she doesn’t make a peep anytime she goes into her kennel. She loves men!!! Hazel will tear apart any toy imaginable, she loves to chew on her toys and needs to be monitored to make sure she’s not ingesting too much of the material. She loves taking walks with her harness, and does very well. She’s still in recovery so we can’t play with the fetch stick and ball quite yet, but she knows exactly what it is and is so excited to run and play when her leg is fully recovered. Hazel Lee will make the best companion, and does well with other dogs who are willing to accept her playfulness. 3/16/26 Foster Feedback: Hazel Lee originally came to our home just for one night, but once she had a chance to settle back into a home environment versus the shelter, she was truly thriving. She is a kind, gentle giant with wonderful manners. Hazel is strong but incredibly well behaved. She knows basic commands like sit, stay, let go (toy release), and come, and she listens well. She’s also excellent in a kennel. She sleeps quietly in her kennel through the night and has been very calm during daytime kennel trials. She is also fully potty trained and has had zero accidents in our home. Our resident dogs are not always thrilled about sharing their home with fosters, but Hazel has handled it with patience and grace. She is respectful of their space, slow in her interactions, and even our dog who typically dislikes newcomers has started trying to play with her. It’s clear Hazel was very loved by her previous owner. She isn’t destructive, listens well to cues, and has been wonderful with toys, treats, and food with no signs of aggression. She’s starting to show more playful curiosity with toys but often looks for approval first. Hazel also loves to snuggle next to people on the couch or in bed. In the short time she’s been with us, we haven’t heard her bark once. She seems calm, gentle, and not reactive to noises or new people. Hazel will soon undergo TPLO surgery on her leg, and we’re looking forward to helping her recover with lots of love and care. She is a beautiful soul who simply wants to be someone’s best friend, and we can’t wait to see the lucky family who gets to call her their own.
