Meet Petey

Meet Petey Petey is a sweet, happy little Chihuahua mix who’s ready for a fresh start. He recently returned to Pixie Mamas when his beloved mama entered hospice care, and despite all the changes in his world, Petey remains a joyful, gentle boy who loves life and loves his people. Petey is the perfect blend of playful and easygoing. He adores spending time outside — open the door and he’ll show off his adorable zoomies! In his foster home, he enjoys exploring the fenced yard, sniffing around, and soaking up the sunshine. He also loves going for walks, which are helping him slim down and stay healthy. Inside the home, Petey is a relaxed, snuggly companion. He’s just as happy curling up in his cozy bed for a long nap as he is trotting around the house to see what you’re up to. He rides beautifully in the car, making him an easy buddy for errands, adventures, or weekend outings. Petey gets along well with other dogs and is respectful of the cats in his foster home. He’s crate trained (though he prefers his comfy bed), doing well with housetraining, and will use potty pads if needed. He’s also a good little watchdog who will alert you when something catches his attention — never aggressive, just attentive. His Connection to Buffy Petey previously lived with another small dog, Buffy, who is also looking for a home. They are a lovely pair, and we would be thrilled to see them adopted together — but Petey is absolutely adoptable on his own and would thrive as a cherished only dog or with another friendly pup. Petey is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and tested neg. for heartworm. His adoption fee is $350 We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.
