Meet Muzzie

Muzzie is a darling little gal who ended up as the pound and missing much of her hair, probably due to a severe flea allergy and infestation. That’s all behind her now and she will soon be spayed, get her teeth cleaned, and be ready to be adopted. This little gal is as good as gold. Her worst traits are that she believes she should be the recipient of ALL the treats (she doesn’t show any guarding behavior, she just always wants to be next in line, even when she just got the last one), and she likes to burrow under the covers at night. Muzzie does have a grass allergy, as she gets itchy when she comes inside after doing her business. It’s not severe, but a Cytapoint injection from our vet made her much, much more comfortable. She also has moderately dry eyes, which is common in small dogs like her. She is on ointments for those which she doesn’t enjoy being administered, but they make a huge difference. So, she will need ongoing meds for seasonal allergies and her dry eyes. Aside from all that, she’s a real gem. She loves everyone. She’s never met a stranger, only friends. If you are looking for a watchdog, forget this one. We’ve never heard her bark! Muzzie is perfectly housebroken, and doesn’t need to be crated or confined when her humans are gone.
