Meet Buffy
Buffy – 8–9 Year Old Shih Tzu Mix, 13 lbs Buffy is a tender‑hearted little Shih Tzu mix who loves quietly and deeply. She came to us after her mama entered hospice care, and despite all the changes in her world, Buffy remains a gentle, affectionate girl who just wants to feel safe and cherished. Buffy starts off shy, especially in new places, but she warms up beautifully with patience and kindness. Once she trusts you, she’ll nuzzle your legs, lean in for soft pets, and even hop up to ask for attention. Her sweet underbite and soulful eyes make her impossible not to adore. Buffy enjoys a calm, peaceful home where she can settle in at her own pace. She loves spending time outside in a fenced yard, taking in the fresh air, and she’s just as content curled up in a cozy bed for a long nap. She walks nicely on a leash and appreciates slow, gentle outings. She is doing well with house training, using potty pads indoors when needed and going outside regularly. Buffy has no aggression at all — she simply prefers a quiet, adult‑only home or one without young children so she can feel secure. Buffy is not a fan of large dogs in her space and will let them know this! Buffy has been professionally groomed and did wonderfully. She’ll need regular grooming to keep her comfortable and looking her best. Her Bond With Petey Buffy arrived with her longtime companion, Petey, and she finds comfort and confidence when he’s nearby. While Buffy is absolutely adoptable on her own, we would love to see them stay together if the right home has room for two. Petey’s presence helps her feel brave, and their gentle companionship is truly special. Medical & Adoption Info Buffy is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $300. If you’re looking for a quiet, loving companion who will blossom with patience — and you might have space for her best friend too — Buffy would love to meet you. We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.
