Meet Legba! Legba is a 7-year-old Beagle mix with a gentle soul who is hoping his next home will truly be his forever one. After spending his life with a family, Legba was recently surrendered through no fault of his own. Originally, he was gifted to a military veteran to provide companionship and support for PTSD and he has spent his life doing what he does best—being a loyal, loving friend. Legba has been raised with children and has done well living with other dogs. He is both house trained and crate trained, making him an easy companion to welcome into a new home. While he's well past the puppy stage, don't let his age fool you—Legba is still a very sweet, active boy who enjoys getting out, exploring, and spending time with his people. Like many Beagles and hounds, Legba loves following his nose. He's looking for a family that will include him in their adventures. He is also beginning a healthy weight-loss journey and will benefit from losing at least 10 pounds, if not more. A family committed to regular walks, exercise, and appropriate portions will help him reach a healthier weight so he can enjoy many happy years ahead.
