Meet Gracie
Gracie is a courtesy listing, not in the AARF foster program, and we are posting online to help the owner find a home for them. Please visit http://aarf-tn.com/adopt/adoption-app/ to apply. Meet Gracie, a laid-back senior sweetheart who has never met a stranger she didn't like. This gentle Chihuahua Jack Russell mix has spent her life as devoted companion to an elderly gentleman, and it shows in her calm, easygoing nature. She is low energy and content just to be near you, always ready for belly rubs and quiet affection. She is hard of hearing, so she relies a bit more on gentle touch and visual cues, but she still knows several commands and responds well once she has your attention. Gracie is impressively housetrained, holding it through long stretches without an accident, and she rides beautifully in the car and walks nicely on a leash. She has spent time around another dog in the home with no issues at all, simply keeping to herself. She is not a fan of cats, though she is not aggressive about it, she just prefers to keep her distance and let you know how she feels. Gracie would do best in a calm, quiet home, ideally with an elderly companion or someone who appreciates a mellow pace of life. She just wants to be good company and soak up a little love along the way. If you are looking for a devoted, low key companion to share peaceful days with, Gracie would love to meet you.
