Meet SUNNY
Sunny is a 10-year-old neutered male Labrador Retriever who somehow found himself at the shelter, and if you ask him, there has clearly been a terrible mistake. Every time it's time to head back to his kennel, he politely—but very determinedly—tries to push his way right back out. He's convinced his real destination is a cozy couch with his new family. Like any true Labrador, Sunny has never met a stranger. He's sweet, friendly, affectionate, and absolutely certain he's lap-dog sized—even if the scale says otherwise. He's currently on a weight-loss journey, so he's looking for a family who will help him trade a few extra pounds for more walks, healthy treats, and plenty of love. Sunny is also a very well-mannered gentleman. He already knows sit, shake, down, stay, and come, and he takes treats with the gentlest mouth. His training is done—now he's just looking for someone to appreciate all the good-boy skills he's already mastered. Sunny may have a little gray on his muzzle, but don't let that fool you. He still has a heart full of love and plenty of tail wags to share. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will happily be your shadow, your walking buddy, and your self-appointed lap dog, Sunny is ready to brighten your days and remind you that the golden years can be the very best ones.
