Meet Charlotte

Charlotte is a beautiful senior girl with a gentle soul and so much love left to give. Believed to be between 8 and 10 years old, this sweet reservation dog has lived a difficult life, but she hasn't let that diminish her incredible capacity to love. While we aren't sure of Charlotte's breed, she certainly has the striking looks of a Rottweiler mix. More importantly, she has the kind of loyal heart that makes once-in-a-lifetime companions. Charlotte is house-trained, crate-trained, and happiest when she's right by her person's side. She's the definition of a velcro dog—if you're home, she'll be with you. She'll happily follow you from room to room, patiently wait outside the door while you're busy, and be ready to curl up beside you the moment you sit down. Charlotte does have some mobility issues affecting her back legs, but she has responded wonderfully to consistent pain medication and continues to enjoy life. She will likely need pain medication for the rest of her life to keep her comfortable. Because of her mobility limitations, Charlotte is looking for a home that can accommodate her needs. She must have a home with no stairs—a couple of steps to get in and out of the house are manageable, but a full flight of stairs is not. A securely fenced backyard is also important, as long walks can be difficult for her. Charlotte gets along well with submissive dogs but would not be a good fit with another dominant personality. She would also do best in a home without cats. More than anything, she's looking for a calm, peaceful home where she can spend her days soaking up love and returning it tenfold. Charlotte may be entering her senior years, but she still has so much to offer. Her soulful eyes have a way of melting hearts, and her quiet devotion is something truly special. She isn't looking for grand adventures—she's looking for someone to love completely, someone who will cherish her through her golden years just as faithfully as she'll cherish them. If you're searching for a loyal best friend who will be happiest simply by your side, Charlotte is waiting to meet you. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $100.
