Meet Patches

This dog is available to meet by appointment only. Meet Patches, a chihuahua mix who looks part raccoon and part panda bear! Patches was surrendered to the shelter in what are supposed to be her golden years of rest and relaxation, and she’s still trying to figure out how she ended up here. Initially very frightened and overwhelmed by the noise and activity at the shelter, she has started to warm up to volunteers and, with a slow approach, will allow pets and attention. She has done well with other small dogs at the shelter and would likely coexist peacefully with a gentle doggie friend. While she hasn’t been tested with cats, she may also be a good candidate to live with a respectful feline sibling. Patches is looking for a quiet, adult-only home with an experienced adopter who will give her plenty of the time and space to decompress and feel safe. Do you have room in your heart and in your home for this scared little girl? Please submit an adoption questionnaire to meet her.
