Meet NATE
Nate A571588 Meet Nate If you're looking for a gentle soul with a heart as big as his paws, 10-year-old Nate is ready to meet you. This sweet Mastiff is the definition of calm and easygoing. He strolls politely on leash, took care of business right away (with a very impressive senior-sized pee), and is happy to take life at a slower pace. Nate handled all of his interactions with grace and was comfortable being gently handled. He also enjoyed a relaxed parallel walk with another dog, King, and didn't mind a few polite sniffs along the way. He has also participated in playgroup where he kind of does his own thing! Nate arrived at the shelter through no fault of his own after being surrendered via police, and it's clear he'd much rather be enjoying the comforts of a home than a kennel. He has calluses on his elbows that tell the story of a dog who's spent plenty of time lying on hard surfaces. I’d love nothing more than for his next chapter to include a soft bed, cozy naps, and a family who cherishes him. Senior dogs have a special kind of magic—they're grateful for the little things, ask for so little, and give so much in return. Nate is ready to trade shelter walls for a warm home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness. Could you be the soft place this gentle giant has been waiting for?
