Meet Josie

Josie is a sweet 7-year-old Miniature Poodle who is ready to discover just how wonderful life as a beloved family member can be. After retiring from her previous life as a breeding dog, she's looking for a patient, loving home where she can continue to blossom. Josie gets along well with other dogs and enjoys their company, but she'd also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only. She's cat-friendly, does well in a crate, and is mostly housetrained. She also knows how to use a doggie door, making her an easy addition to a home with an established routine. Like many dogs who haven't had much experience with everyday family life, Josie isn't a fan of walking on a leash just yet. Her new family should be prepared to help her build confidence and learn leash skills at her own pace. Because of this, a securely fenced yard is the best fit for her until she's more comfortable exploring the world on a leash. Josie is looking for a family that understands she may need a little extra patience as she adjusts to her new life.
