Meet Florence

Florence’s world changed in an instant. Her unhoused owner, while in cardiac arrest, was taken to the ER with her sitting in his lap. He did not survive. Thanks to the kindness and quick thinking of the nurses of Cedars marina, this sweet girl was safely tucked into a crate and given a warm place and care for the night. It truly took a village to help her. Nurses, veterinary staff reached out to @wufaw, who began a spider web of support from rescue volunteers @thestreetvet and animal welfare organizations @dogsmatter. Everyone came together to make sure Florence was given everything she needed: supplies from @loveatfirstmutt and @lalaleskow stepped up to temp foster. Now, Florence is beginning a new chapter. While she will always carry the love she shared with her owner, she’s ready to find a family who will cherish her just as deeply and give her the happy future
