Meet Ahri

Ahri came to the shelter on 8/7/2026 as an owner surrender. Her owners' lives underwent some big changes and they could no longer give her the time and attention she deserves. She is a mature 7 to 8 year old white German shepherd mix, although she looks close to a purebred. She could also be mixed with lab and husky. We will need to get Ahri vet checked and updated on her vaccinations. She is already spayed and microchipped. We'll also work on getting her groomed. Her adoption fee is $125. Ahri is an extremely shy and nervous girl right now. Her whole world has been changed so it's understandable. She is extremely sensitive and intelligent. She's looking for a very patient and secure home. She has had basic training and has done okay with male dogs. She has done okay with kids, too. Cats? We're not sure. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
