Meet Dainty

Dainty is likely a Border Collie/ Terrier (?) mix. Dainty was a stray captured in the Weatherford area. She was heartworm positive at the time she was rescued and has been going through slow kill treatment. She has finally come around to be pet, though she is still nervous about it at times. She is dog door and house trained, and loves to sleep on a soft dog bed. She is playful with other pups, though she can get a little pushy at times (we think that’s the Terrier in her). She is still difficult to hold for longer than a few seconds and can not be leashed. Dainty needs a patient family who is willing to work with her while she gets used to any new location. She is not an affectionate dog, and is likely going to take a long time to become comfortable in a new home.
