Meet Dakota
Dakota is an adorable 9 yr old pocket pity with a sensitive soul looking for her new forever home. She can be a little shy but once she gets to know you she likes to talk to you with little grumbles to let you know she’s excited to see you. She looks great for her age with just a little arthritis in her back hips but she gets around just fine! She would surely love a new couch to curl up on and get some good cuddles from a new loving family. She also loves her tennis ball and will play fetch then come up to you for some good butt scratches while she wiggles it around for you. She’s such a little sweetheart and we can’t wait to see who will take her home! APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: 42 lbs. ESTIMATED DOB: 7/31/2017 GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS: selective GOOD WITH KIDS: unknown GOOD WITH CATS: unknown REQUIRES A FENCE: no ACTIVITY LEVEL: med LIKES TO VOCALIZE: some SPECIAL NEEDS: no BREED EXPERIENCE NEEDED: no APPROPRIATE PLACEMENT FOR 1ST TIME DOG OWNER? no FREE OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS OFFERED WITH ALL DOG ADOPTIONS Please note that we are often asked if dogs are "house trained". The dogs are in fact living in a kennel environment during their time with us. Even if they have previously lived in a home and been trained - the stress of the change and the new home can sometimes cause regression and require some additional training. We feel that it's best for all adopters to be prepared for this possibility.
