Meet Dexter

Meet Dexter! Dexter is a 10-year-old, 11-pound crème-and-white little spitfire with a big personality and a tender heart. Rescued from the shelter, this quirky little guy needs some time to get to know and trust his people—but once he does, he’s absolutely precious. He’ll happily climb into your lap, tuck his head into your neck, and give you the sweetest kisses. Dexter is house- and crate-trained and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and both sexes. He loves lounging on the couch with his people, sleeping in the big bed, or curling up in his own dog bed. He also makes an excellent work-from-home assistant! Dexter needs a quiet, adult home where he can feel safe and secure. Because he can bark quite a bit when initially crated, he cannot live in a home with shared walls. His barking decreases significantly once he feels comfortable. He also needs a securely fenced yard, which he absolutely loves and enjoys exploring at his own pace. Because of his tiny size, a rowdy household or home with young children isn't a good fit. Dexter may need a little patience in the beginning, but underneath that quirky exterior is a sweet, loving little guy who has so much love left to give. ❤️ He deserves a safe, peaceful home where he can finally relax, feel secure, and be loved for the rest of his life. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $100.
