Meet Duchess
LOOKING FOR A FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME Say hello to the sweetest Duchess! This beautiful 9-year-old Shepherd mix is looking for her forever home. Duchess just joined the rescue, so she’s taking a little time to decompress and get settled. She is already spayed and up to date on her shots, and all she needs is a vet visit, which the rescue covers! For now, Duchess is available as a foster-to-adopt, meaning you can welcome her into your home as a foster and, if you both decide it’s the right fit, make her adoption official later. Duchess previously lived with a Husky, and I think having a canine companion could be a great fit for her. She’s currently living with a small, opinionated senior dog and is doing great. Like many Shepherds, Duchess has some hip issues and takes a few medications to help keep her comfortable and moving well. As a foster, her medications and food are also covered. She doesn’t let her discomfort stop her from being a sweet, loving Shepherd. And one important thing to know about Duchess: she loves to howl sometimes. So apartment living probably isn’t going to be her thing, unless you and your neighbors really enjoy Shepherd concerts. If you’re looking for a sweet, older girl who deserves a soft place to land, Duchess would love to meet you. If you’re interested in fostering this special girl, please fill out a foster application at www.tucsoncoldwetnoses.com
