Meet Forrest
Forrest is an extremely handsome Cavalier with a heart full of love. He came to rescue in March of 2026 and has blossomed into a perfect gentleman. He was previously a breeding dog and is enjoying his new life and freedom. He loves to be outside (in nice weather) and is always by his foster mom's side. He does great with the other Cavaliers in his foster home. He is a total love bug. Forrest does have a grade III heart murmur and is in stage B1 MVD. He does not require cardiac medication at this time but that could very easily change at some point. Forrest was in dire need of a dental when he came to us and all but two of his teeth needed to be extracted due to significant disease and infection. This does not hold him back - he eats his kibble softened with warm water and fresh Raised Right on top. He lives to eat and licks his bowl clean every meal. Forrest has learned and mastered going up and down stairs. He still is not a fan of walking on a leash and fireworks make him very nervous. ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: Physically fenced in yard - we do not allow invisible/electric fences to be used for any of our dogs. Forrest would do best in a home with a canine companion. Financially stable family willing and able to keep up with Forrest's cardio care. He will require chest radiographs about every 6 months and yearly echocardiograms. Forrest has been neutered, received a dental with multiple extractions, and had an echocardiogram while in rescue. He’s also current on vaccinations, heartworm preventative, and microchipped. His adoption fee is $500 plus tax.
