Meet Herman

Herman has a very small wish listMeet Herman, a 7-year-old, 67-pound Bulldog with one of the cutest, squishiest little faces you'll ever see. Seriously… that face. Herman is quiet, calm, relaxed, and loves hanging out with people. He loves everyone he meets and really doesn't ask for much. He's basically a big, lovable couch potato whose perfect day involves doing absolutely nothing, preferably with you, but he'll be perfectly okay snoozing by himself while you're out. If Herman could tell you what he wants, we think it would sound something like this: Can I have a really soft bed to sleep in? Can I have a quiet home where I can rest and start feeling better? Will you love me? Like, a whole lot? I promise I don't need much. I just want a cozy place to take lots of naps and know that I'm finally home. Right now, getting around is difficult for Herman. He can walk, but it appears to be painful for him, so he mostly gets up when he needs to go potty and then heads back to his favorite activity: resting. He appears to be potty trained, and he will have ongoing medical needs that his future family will need to address with a veterinarian. Herman isn't looking for a hiking buddy or an adventure partner. He's looking for someone who wants a sweet older gentleman to fuss over. Someone who can give him a peaceful place to rest, gentle care, and lots and lots of love. Herman has been at the shelter since July 30, and a shelter kennel is an especially difficult place for an older gentleman who isn't feeling his best. He's spent enough time with the hard stuff.
