Meet Huckaberry
Huckaberry (A120851) is a 9-year-old Dachshund who weighed 42.4 pounds on intake (but is extremely overweight)!10/22/26 This cute guy is Huckaberry! Huckaberry was surrendered to the shelter with incomplete paperwork. He was held on a stray hold and is now officially looking for his new home! Unfortunately, we were unable to reach his prior owner, so we do not have any behavioral history of how he is in a home setting. He has been doing great at the shelter and starting to get his steps in! Huckaberry is extremely overweight and it is very important that his next owner works with their vet on helping him shed those pounds. This will help him drastically in the long run. Huckaberry does well at keeping his kennel clean (accident-free) while at the shelter. However, we do not know if he is fully housebroken. If you are interested in meeting meeting Mr Huck, please let us know!
