Meet Jake

Volunteers report that Jake looooooves rolling around in the grass and a belly rub. He loves his toys, snacks, and has done great hanging out with a 13 year old Volunteen, who enjoys hanging out while his mom walks Jake. @vcanimalservices Can anyone foster Jake!? Even a 5-7 day foster would be an incredible break for his boy. If you can foster and help us find an, adopter even better. We know that in some of this footage, Jake looks like a stressed, overly alert, pulling, hot pup. We opted to use those clips because right now, that’s Jake’s reality. ?? This heat is especially difficult… Jake is so stressed/hypervigilant to the excessive sights, sounds, and smells of the shelter, which may make him more prone to overheating. The clips included later in this video show how we see Jake - fun, great with handling and baths, and best buddies to a 13 year old VolunTeen. While Jake may be open to a doggie sibling, he would definitely prefer some time as the only pet or separate from other dogs to decompress from shelter stress.
