Meet Jax
Meet Jax! Looking for a big, lovable cuddlebug with the ears to match? Meet Jax! This handsome 9-year-old Labrador/German Shepherd mix weighs about 53 pounds and is happiest when he's spending time with his people. Jax is a friendly, affectionate boy who loves meeting new people, leisurely neighborhood walks, and sniffing absolutely everything along the way. He's not looking for a marathon hiking partner; a good daily walk followed by some quality couch time is more his speed. If you believe dogs belong on the couch (and preferably in bed), Jax is your guy! He's house-trained, knows sit and shake, and is very treat-motivated, making him eager to learn. He's already made wonderful progress with his manners, including learning to resist counter surfing and responding well to gentle reminders. He's not destructive in the home and is generally a pretty quiet guy, with the occasional bark when something catches his attention outside. Jax gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy a friendly canine companion, although he'd also be perfectly happy as your one and only. He's shown interest in chasing cats, so a cat-free home would be the safest fit. His experience with children is unknown. One of Jax's favorite things is being close to his person. He'll happily curl up beside you, climb into your lap, or rest his head on your shoulder during car rides. He's also a fan of lick mats and pupsicle treats! Jax would do well in a variety of home environments with someone who can offer him affection, a daily walk, and a little patience as he continues polishing his manners. He's a sweet, easygoing senior who has so much love to give. If you're looking for a loyal companion, enthusiastic greeter, and professional snuggle buddy, Jax is ready to meet you! ❤️Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
