Meet Luna

WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Luna, a wonderful 11-year-old Lab mix whose story just might tug at your heartstrings. Luna spent her entire life with the family she loved. But when her beloved humans became too ill to continue caring for her, they faced the heartbreaking decision to bring her to our shelter. We can only imagine how difficult it was for them to say goodbye to a dog who had been part of their family for so many years. And for Luna, suddenly finding herself without the people and home she had always known must be just as heartbreaking. Her family had nothing but wonderful things to say about her. Luna is friendly, loving, and smart. She's good with people, children as young as 5, and other dogs. She's an active girl who enjoys toys and treats, knows how to sit, and will even let you know when she needs to go outside to potty. She can be frightened by loud noises and isn't a fan of thunderstorms, so she'll appreciate a family that offers her comfort and reassurance when the skies get noisy. She's never lived with cats, so we don't know how she'd feel about them. At 11 years old, Luna should be spending her golden years curled up in a cozy home, enjoying leisurely days, loving companionship, and all the comforts she's earned over a lifetime of being someone's girl. Instead, she's here at the shelter, waiting for someone to give her that sense of belonging again. Luna has already known the love of a family. Let's not let that be a thing of the past. She deserves to feel safe, cherished, and wanted for the rest of her life. Could you open your heart and home to Luna? Give this sweet senior the second chance she never expected to need, and show her that even when life takes a heartbreaking turn, there's still love waiting around the corner. Her next home needs to be her last, and she deserves nothing less.
