WATCH MY VIDEO...For seven beautiful years, Max was exactly where he wanted to be: by his person’s side. He wasn’t just a dog to her. He was her companion, her confidant and her best friend. She talked to Max the way you would talk to another person, and somehow, we think he understood every word. Then came the heartbreaking news. Max’s beloved owner received a devastating diagnosis and was placed in hospice care. The life they had shared for seven years suddenly came to an end, and Max found himself trying to make sense of a world without the person he loved most. If you look into Max’s eyes, you may see a little sadness there. We think he knows something is missing. He was the best companion he could possibly be to his person, and now he is waiting for someone who will be his person again. Max is a beautiful 7-year-old Doberman mix with a gentle heart. He loves people and is sweet and friendly with both adults and children. He enjoys being with his human friends and has so much love left to give. We don't know how he feels about other dogs, so a meet and greet will be required to make sure everyone is comfortable. He has never been around cats. Like many dogs, Max isn't a big fan of thunderstorms. When the skies rumble, he would probably appreciate a little extra reassurance and someone reminding him that everything is going to be okay .For seven years, Max gave his person his whole heart. He stayed by her side, listened to her stories, kept her company and loved her through everything. Now, this sweet senior deserves someone who will do the same for him. Max isn't looking for anything complicated. He wants a loving person to talk to, a comfortable place to call home, a soft spot to rest his head and someone who will cherish him for all the days ahead. His golden years are here. All Max needs is someone to make them truly golden.
