Meet Mermaid

Meet Mermaid, a sweet senior with lots of love to give! We don’t know what her life looked like before she came to us, but we know what we want for her now: the happiest, most loved golden years possible. In her kennel, Mermaid is completely shut down, barely lifting her head when visitors pass by. But take her outside and a different dog appears. This love bug comes alive, burrowing into your arms for affection, exploring every interesting scent, and even getting a little pep in her step when she feels playful. Mermaid arrived missing more than a dozen teeth and desperately needing dental care, which she has received from our clinic team. Now Mermaid’s greatest need is simply a home and a patient family who understands that senior dogs deserve a little extra TLC. At 13, Mermaid isn’t asking for much, just comfort, patience, and someone to show her that the best part of her life can still be ahead. Mermaid's friends at J.R. Dunn Jewelers have kindly paid her adoption fee.
