Meet Milo

Milo is a 14-year-old senior looking for a quiet retirement home where he can enjoy his golden years at his own pace. He is almost completely deaf and blind, but he has adapted remarkably well and is fully housebroken. In his foster home, Milo free-roams the house without getting into trouble, sleeps in bed at night, and loves finding a comfy spot on the furniture. He also enjoys relaxing on the screened-in porch until it gets too hot, going for car rides, swimming with a little help getting into the pool, and following his nose when treats are involved. He currently lives peacefully with two small dogs and cats, largely paying them no mind. Because of his limited hearing and vision, Milo needs a home that understands his world is a little different. He can zigzag on walks and may bump into walls in unfamiliar places, so a familiar, predictable environment will help him feel secure. He does have some separation-related anxiety and may pace when left alone. Milo also startles easily and can react with a quick snap if he is surprised or handled unexpectedly, so he would do best with adults who can respect his space and use gentle, predictable handling, especially for medications. He is looking for someone who can give him a safe, comfortable place to rest, plenty of patience, and all the little comforts a senior deserves.
