Meet Moon

Moon came to Paw Parent with her little sidekick, Zappa, after their elderly guardians could no longer provide the care they needed. It was a difficult transition, especially for sweet Moon. When she first arrived, she was very timid and fearful. It took a few days of patience, gentle reassurance, and lots of love before she finally felt safe enough to let us touch and pet her. But once Moon learned to trust us, her sweet personality began to shine! Now she absolutely LOVES a good full-body rub and all the affection she can get from her trusted humans. It's heartwarming to see how far this girl has come! ❤️ Moon is a little on the skinny side, and we're working on helping her gain some healthy weight. She's also a picky eater and prefers wet food over dry kibble. A few other things worth knowing about our sweet girl: She's 10 years old and weighs 45 pounds. She's incredibly quiet. In fact, we haven't heard her make a peep yet! She may just be the quietest dog we've ever had. She's very protective of her little boyfriend, Zappa, and does not tolerate other dogs getting too close to them, so no other dogs in the household except the two of them. She's spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. NOW, HERE'S THE MOST IMPORTANT PART: MOON AND ZAPPA MUST STAY TOGETHER! These two have spent the last 8 YEARS side by side and share an incredibly special bond. Moon is very protective of her little guy, and they are each other's comfort, companionship, and family. We simply cannot fathom the thought of separating them. After everything they've been through, asking them to lose each other would break their hearts — and ours, too. Our biggest wish is to find a loving home that will welcome BOTH of them and give them the happy, peaceful golden years they deserve. They have so much love left to give, and we'd love nothing more than to see them start their next adventure together! Could you be the special person who opens your heart and home to Moon and Zappa?
