Meet Nellie

This sweet senior may be a little wobbly on her feet, but she has so much love to give! 10 years old and 53 pounds, Nellie is a gentle German shepherd mix looking for a special person to help her enjoy her golden years. Nellie is a total sweetheart who loves pets, leans in for affection, and gives her people her full attention. She’s easygoing on leash, relaxed with handling, and takes treats best from a flat palm or as a fun little treat hunt on the ground. She’s calm and unconcerned around other dogs, making her a lovely, independent companion who may enjoy appropriately matched dog friends. Nellie arrived needing TLC. She's underweight with skin issues and has weakness in her back legs. With supportive care, she’s been eating well, walking independently, and showing off her sweet personality. She does have ongoing medical needs, and her future health is uncertain, so she’s looking for a hospice home prepared to provide continued care, comfort, and lots of love.
